WebEmployers must establish a regular pay period and a regular pay day for employees. An employer has to pay all the wages earned in each pay period, other than vacation pay that is accruing, no later than the employee’s regular pay day for the period. Some employees earn commissions or “bonuses” based on sales made in a pay period. WebThe three paid sick days would not need to be taken consecutively, and employees will not need to provide their employer with a doctor’s (sick) note. It will be retroactive to April 19, 2024. Under the WIPB, employers would be able to apply for a reimbursement of up to $200 per employee day taken from the Ontario government.
